Ed Gee, founder of ISES Corporation

Background

Ed Gee founded ISES Corp in 1987, but we trace our roots back to 1980. At that time, Ed was instrumental in the first nationwide facilities condition assessment. For that project, a survey of historical properties at more than 50 National Parks across the U.S., he utilized the first computerized facilities condition database, a DOS-based system called BIPS.

Ed recognized the need for providers of condition assessment services on a grand scale, leading to the founding of ISES Corporation. ISES Corp has led the industry in developing this niche service into a vital comprehensive tool for larger landlords. As we’ve evolved, we’ve developed a wide variety of additional services, all targeted within the facilities management and operations arena, which serve to supplement our core FCA service base.

Today, ISES Corp is a woman-owned family business, certified as a Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) in the Federal Government’s SDB program. Ed’s daughters have taken on the reins to preserve and lead the family business legacy forward. Both are committed to Ed’s guiding principles and are honored to undertake the responsibility of maintaining the success of the business and the reputation of the family.
