City of Chicago

In the latter months of 1999, the City of Chicago realized a need for a comprehensive facility condition assessment, complete with a state-of-the-art management system for the FCA data. A nationwide search was conducted to locate the optimal solution. The City desired a combination of qualified inspection personnel and an easy-to-manage, user-friendly database management system, and selected ISES for the project.

The initial project work scope encompassed more than 300 City-owned facilities. In addition to inspecting these, ISES documented information on more than 100 leased facilities.

In early 2012, the Public Building Commission (PBC) of the City of Chicago identified the need to conduct a comprehensive facility assessment of the Forest Preserve District of Cook County. In addition, the PBC also requested services to develop an in-depth Preventive Maintenance (PM) plan for these facilities. After reviewing relevant qualifications, the PBC opted to continue the City’s long-running relationship with ISES Corporation by choosing us once again to provide long-range capital planning services.
